Residue Amsterdam

In our current work we are examining the colours inherent to various plants at ruderal areas in Amsterdam. We focus on roadside plants that germinate spontaneously, among them Neophytes, plants that are newcomers.

Disseminated from across the border by the transport network, surviving uncultivated in their new environment.

We extract the natural dyes of plants which we transfer into photographic film material, and represent the physical aspect of the plants in a documentative manner using photograms. It is a parallel project presented as a polyptych consisting of two or more panels.
